  • evaluating the potential effects of proposed mergers or combinations of firms in the context of their respective markets;
  • monitoring, evaluating and reporting on price formation in auctions, markets and exchanges;
  • evaluating the potential effects of environmental and energy related regulations on energy and energy related markets;
  • providing quantitative economic analysis;
  • designing and developing software for analyzing and monitoring transactions on electronic trading systems, market performance, systems for procurement and usage of network facilities;
  • designing, developing and maintaining data repositories to support analysis and monitoring activities.
